How do I flush out my yahoo email inbox?

My inbox has thousands of emails in it and a lot of it is junk mail. The dates are all mixed up too. However, I want to keep this email address and only receive necessary emails. How can I do this?|||Well wat i do is i dont read the junk mail i just delete em! u should clickon the ones u want 2 delete nd delete em! Hope this helps
