After some months of use my Outlook Express is automatically deleting all emails received and stored in the Inbox. This has now happened for the third time and I have lost important emails received earlier. My 'Sent Items' folder is unaffected. Can anyone suggest how to rectify this problem? Has it got to do with the configuration or settings of Outlook Express or any resident virus is in my comp is responsible for this ? Please help.|||If you are using Yahoo Mail, the problem is not with your computer. There have been 100 posts about this happening. Yahoo is having a terrible time. They have not explained why. They will fix it.
If you are not using Yahoo, Outlook Express does not have a setting to delete inbox emails. And no virus has been seen that does that. You will have to contact MSN.

How do we know that a message in spam inbox is a fraud or just considered as a spam if we did not open it?
In just a week I received email in spam inbox 3 to 5 mails but there are email sent to spam inbox from our friends. how do we know an email in spam inbox is not a spam and just considered as a spam by the email server?|||I agree with the one above me. Just read it to find out, those spam inboxes just figure it's a spam for some very very odd reason. I mean like why would your friends send you a spam. I got one the other day that was a spam, but the title was like buy a rainbow unicorn, so i knew :) Hope I helped :)|||Usually your email program or webmail will allow you to read the emails without loading any images etc. so it is safe. As an added precaution always add people who you frequently receive mail from to your contacts and know that any unsolicited email can almost always be ignored.|||The best way is to read it.|||Spam is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe you really do want to buy viagra online
Antispam filters use various different rules. With some systems, you can report messages as spam or not-spam and it will learn what your preferences are, e.g. recognize your friend's addresses, or see that you like mail about travel opportunities.
Sometimes your friends get targetted by profiling. E.g. If your friend lives in Nigeria, a US system may say "100% of all messages I've seen so far from Nigeria are spam, so chances are this one is, too"
If you look at the open-source SpamAssassin, you can see exactly the rules that some filters use. Things like "title is all caps", "sent directly from a home PC", "uses the word viagra" all get points, and if the total goes over 5, it gets flagged.

WIthout warning, all inbox mail jumped to microsoft outlook and cannot be answered on outlook, nor forwarded elsewhere--it is just frozen there. All default settings are to Yahoo, not OUtlook, and new e-mail comes to Yahoo as well.|||For Windows Vista users You can only use Firefox browser. for Yahoo as default email program

Why is yahoo mail dumping everything that is in my Inbox into the trash folder?
I move it all back to the inbox and then it goes right back in a short period of time! I removed all my filters, (which weren't working) and it is still doing it.|||One possibility could be that a spammer might have your password and is sending spam from your account. The spammer might be trashing your Inbox to eliminate responses and delivery failure notices to the spam messages.
Try changing your password and see if that helps. Also, while you are in your account settings, check for tampering with your alternate email contact address. That can be used to obtain new passwords.

How to share Email Inbox over the network?
I would like to have every computer connected to my network be able to share one inbox. This is to avoid having all of them to download Email separately. I currently use Eudora4. Problem is I can't run multiple instances of the program. Any Email program that can help me in this regard?|||You may need an e-mail server, this would allow you to set-up multiple e-mails, and have one common like joe@1234.com will go to joe, but support@1234.com will go to all that are on that server, depending on permissions and the like.
